Ryan is returning for his second summer as an IT intern at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, and he looks forward to working with old friends and meeting new faces while making solutions together. He’s heading into his fourth year at Michigan Tech for a degree in Computer Science. He enjoys seeing friendly faces and the nice working environment at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK while growing in his career.
What is it about TWO MEN AND A TRUCK that made you want to work here?
“I really enjoy the community environment that TWO MEN AND A TRUCK has, it makes it an enjoyable place to learn. All the employees are very friendly and want to help you solve anything that comes in your path.”
Where do you see your career in five years?
“I want to find what path I really enjoy in the tech field and further myself toward where I want to end up.”
What’s a project you’re working on this summer that you’re excited about?
“I am going to be working on the internal booking systems again this summer and I enjoy adding new features that will help people speed up their processes. I also want to try out some IT infrastructure to see how that workflow is.”
What motivates you?
“I really like finding solutions because there are so many ways something can be done, and it is fun getting there.”
Who’s your role model?
“My dad is my role model; he always works so hard for what he wants which makes it so rewarding once he gets there. He also takes pride in doing the right thing even when you might be the only one.”
How would you describe the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK atmosphere to someone interested in working here?
“TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is a company, but it is more like a family with how friendly all the employees are and how much they care about you. All of the events and gatherings make it so you get to know everyone out of the work setting. Overall, with the management and fellow employees, it is a very welcoming environment.”
Ryan looks forward to working with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK again this summer as he gets closer to graduation and determining what career path he wants to take!
