Fifth annual Career Move Month brings 1,433 new hires to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®

This March, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchises nationwide reviewed hundreds of applications and conducted dozens of interviews in hopes of staffing our teams in preparation for the busy summer months ahead. March marked our fifth annual Career Move Month hiring event, and we set the goals of receiving 12,000 applications and hiring 1,200 new team members. We’re happy to announce that we not only met, but exceeded our goals, with 17,291 applications received and 1,433 new hires brought onboard!

“This is our most successful Career Move Month to date, and we are incredibly proud of our franchise system for providing 1,433 career opportunities to new team members in a single month,” said TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Human Resources Director Sara Bennett. “Proper staffing is crucial to help us move customers forward this summer and beyond, and we want to welcome each new team member to the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® family!”

The final results are incredible, as we received 76.47% more applications and hired 41.6% more teammates than Career Move Month 2016. This is a testament to the growing brand and career opportunity within. With a footprint in 42 states and counting, team members in our system have greater potential to gain unique experiences to further their careers. We have seen many team members rise to management and franchise ownership roles, transition from a franchise to Home Office, or move from one franchise to another throughout their career paths.

The thing that attracted me most to the job was just the team environment, I’ve grown up playing sports my whole life, so when I got there and met everyone, I saw the way they treated the guys, how all the guys were team-based like family, and that was just something that really attracted me and kept me here. I chose to enroll in the Managers Moving Forward Program after seeing a presentation at Annual Meeting. I saw some of the focus areas were weaknesses of mine, and I figured it would be beneficial to address those. The experience has been awesome, and all of the content has led to processes I can implement at my franchise to make it better. If you aren’t growing, you’re dying, and I’d prefer the former over the latter!
